Last Soccer Game of the Spring Year
It all started when, I had my last soccer game of the spring year. We played in Manteca. My game was on June 9th of 2012. I was playing defense against a Sacramento team. When all of a sudden the other team kicked the ball right at my feet. Instantly, I decided to kick the ball all the way to the goal. Of course the goalie stopped it, but inside I was full of victory. I did not give up. In the first half of the soccer game the other team won. They got one goal that the goalie couldn't have stopped the ball with her own hands.
The next half started and my team was ready to score some goals. When the ball crossed the mid half line, my team was ready, on their toes. We practiced and practiced to get to this game. Our team executed many drills during practice. Our practice paid off because during the game we passed and passed the ball. We also made shot after shot after shot. Our team made three goals while the other team had 1 point. Every time we made a goal, I felt excited and surprised. I couldn't stop smiling because we had never beat a team before. The main reason we would lose was because of our defense line. We call them Forwards. Whenever our forwards get the ball at their feet they would usually try to trick the other team instead of shooting the ball towards the goal.
When all the players were off the field our team was full of excitement. My coach could barely talk because this was our first game we have ever won. We were all proud of ourselves. When I walked off the field I was full of joy. My mom was so proud of me, and I loved the feeling of winning!
