My True Story
This is my true story that all happened last summer when school ended in the year of 2011. So, my whole family went to Mexico to visit my dad's family for summer vacation. By my whole family I mean my parents, my three brothers, and me. My dad told me to joke that we are going there to celebrate my birthday, but we were going there because we had not seen them for a while. And to celebrate my birthday too!!!! I was so excited, I even made a card for them at the writing program that year.
So, when we took all the planes to go there, I gave them the card and they loved it!! Of course I had to say hi to everyone. Some of them I forgot their names. I had to ask my dad for help to talk to them too. You know what also was fun about being there? My Tio Luis owns a pizza place right on the corner when we stayed at my Tia Anna's house. So whenever my cousin Daniela and I wanted pizza or fries, we asked my Tia Lucha. Tia Lucha was so nice, and I could tell she missed me so much.
She took me shoe shopping a little before my birthday with my Cesi. Then on the mornig of my birthday I ordered pizza with my brothers. So I put a piece on my plate. When I about to eat it, Daniela said my mom wants me so I went. When I came back I ate my piece but it turns out two of my brothers put spicy chili under the pepperoni. So my oldest brother had to buy me soda. In the evening, all my tios and tias threw a suprise birthday for me. It was so sweet of them. They got my favorite kind of cake: cheese cake with chocolate on top. It was so fun. My mom pushed me into my own cake. I forgot to write this. Where the pizza place is, on top of it there's a little room where my grandpa lives. My Tio Luis has a parrot that he had since I was a tiny baby or when my dad was about my age. His name is Pancho.
Then we went to my dad's family farm called "Ranco Lobo." When we got there I saw cows, sheep, dogs, puppies, pigs, chickens, and a donkey. The donkey belongs to my dad's uncle. He got it when he was about my age. Plus me and my brothers also got to ride my great uncle's donkey. Except my oldest brother because he was to big for that. I wish I could have done that again. The part I didn't like about riding the donkey is that we had to use a pillow for a saddle. The other thing I didn't like is that he was hungry. So when I was riding him, he kept trying to eat. That made him bend down and that's what made me slide down his back. It was also kinda fun too. I even got to see a bull up close. It was right there eating grass, so I got scared because he looked up at me. After that I ran and went into the truck. My little brother was there with me, so he did the same.
We also went to a beach resort about 10 hours away. We took the bus all the way there. It was so fun, but not the part when we got sunburned. It was like earth got closer to the sun. At the resort there was pools, hot tubs, and even a beach. My family went there with a couple of my tias and tios, not all of them, just some of them. There was so many pools, and the beach looked so gorgeous. In our rooms at the hotel there was a mini refrigerator filled with soda. Across the room, doors lead to a terrace. It doesn't have the most beautiful view, but it looks beautiful itself.
Every single day was terrific. We ate at a breakfeast/lunch/dinner buffet. Then we would go to the pools or the beach. Then it leads to night where they have karaoke/dancing. It was sprinkling one night when the bright lights were on; it looked so pretty with the rain. It started getting late so my cousin went to bed around 9:55, and around 11:45 my brothers and I went to bed.
Then it was the day- the day when we left the resort. Just saying I don't know exactly what day so I'm guessing. So we took buses and taxis to get back. After we left the resort and took all the buses and taxis. I wanted pizza. My mom said I could get some after I helped unload everything. By that I mean clothes, hats, socks, and shoes. Then I got pizza. I said hi to my tios and tias that didn't go to the resort, because we were back from you know where.
Day after day it lead up to the day we left, I didn't want to leave, but I had to. Before we left, my family had pizza from my very own Tio Luis, Tia Lucha, and Tia Rebeca. After we ate we packed up, said googbye, and we left. I was so sad. I wanted to come back the next summer but we didn't have enough money. Well, we just have to wait until the summer of 2013.
The End
[P.S] At the resort I loved their strawberry smothies. I can't wait to go back and try them again. Now...
